Getting into the World Series of Poker isn’t as difficult as some people would think. You just need to know a few important things.
WSOP main event
WSOP is the world’s most prestigious poker tournament. Its Main Event is $10,000 buy-in no-limit Texas hold’em. It’s considered the most prestigious non-monetary prize in poker, and the WSOP bracelet is awarded to the winner.
The Main Event is played over two weeks. It starts on Thursday, November 4, at 11 a.m., PT, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Players begin with 60,000 chips and play five levels. During day two, players will play two levels and claim a bounty from other players they knock out. It’s expected that a record number of players will enter the 2021 Main Event, with at least 8,000 already registered.
The Main Event is played on PokerGO, which is exclusive to the WSOP Main Event 2021. There will be live streaming of the event on PokerGO daily. The Main Event will conclude when the 2021 Main Event champion is crowned.
The Main Event will feature 18 bracelet events, and a minimum of 15 hours of coverage. The Main Event will also be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network.
In addition to the Main Event, there will be other flagship events, including the Super Seniors Championship, which is open to players aged 60 and over. There will also be a $1,000 Buy-In Million Dollar Bounty No – Limit Hold’em, which will run July 2-4, 2022. This high-stakes event will award $25,000 to each eliminated player.
The Main Event will also feature the Covid-19 Relief NLH Charity Event, which will benefit frontline health workers.
The Main Event also features two additional starting flights. Survivors from flights 1A and 1B will advance to Day 2ABD, while those who were late registrants can bypass Day 1.
The Main Event will conclude on Wednesday, November 17, at 2:30 p.m., PT, at the World Series of Poker Main Event.

The most popular signature event at the World Series of Poker is the no-limit hold’em Colossus. This event had 13,565 entries, and generated $4,476,450 in prize money. The first place prize was the largest payout in the history of the World Series of Poker. The winner of the event, Anatolii Zyrin, came from Russia and defeated Michael Lee.
The Colossus has long been a favorite among poker enthusiasts. The event has the highest payout of all the flagship events at the World Series of Poker. The Colossus pays out $1 million for first place, and it has two starting flights per day. The first starts at 10am on Friday, October 29, and the second starts at 10am on Saturday, October 30.
The Colossus also has a new payout system. The payout for the winner is still $1 million, but the amount of money that will be paid out to the runners up has been halved. Those who are eliminated from the tournament will be paid according to a payout table.
There is a more specialized type of event called the “Millionaire Maker.” The event offers a $1,500 buy-in and runs for five days. The payout will be based on the number of entries in the flight. It is also the first of its kind to make it to the World Series of Poker.
The World Series of Poker has been holding events since 1970, but it was only in the last few years that the series started to grow. The main event was introduced in 2008, and has been averaging a few thousand entrants each year for the past decade.

Taxes on poker winnings
Whether you are a professional gambler or not, you might have some taxes on poker winnings when entering the World Series of Poker. Several winners of the event will be exempt from taxes in their home countries, but the US will withhold some of your prize money.
The IRS will withhold 30% of any winnings you win in a US tournament. This applies to net winnings of $5,000 or more. If you earn less than this, you will have no tax to pay. Unlike most states, Nevada does not have state income tax. However, if you do earn more than this, you will owe state taxes.
Depending on the state you live in, the amount of tax you will owe may vary. Some states don’t tax gambling winnings. However, the Internal Revenue Service will withhold some of your winnings if you are a resident of a state that taxes gambling winnings.
Several countries have tax treaties that will allow you to receive a refund for any taxes you pay on your gambling winnings. The US and France have such a treaty. It is also possible to take tax credits for taxes you have paid abroad.
Another player, John Eames, who lives in the United Kingdom, will benefit from the US-UK tax treaty. His winnings will be exempt from US taxes because he is not a resident of the United States. However, he will still have to file a US tax return. He will pay US taxes on his total income, but he will be able to get a refund for the taxes he paid to other countries.
Another professional gambler, Michael Duek, was born in Argentina and moved to Florida. He mainly plays no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha. He finished in seventh place for $1,350,000.
